Annual Planning

The Long Range Plan, or 5 Year Plan, is the 'long term' goals and objectives of the conservation district.  Typically, the LRP is developed with suggestions taken from the Local Work Group meeting. 

The Annual Plan, formerly known as the Plan of Work, is the yearly goals of the conservation district. These are more detailed approaches to achieving the goals of the Long Range Plan. Conservation districts have the ability to adapt these goals as needed.  

Conservation districts in WV are taking the lead on the Local Work Group meetings that are held with USDA-NRCS. These meetings are becoming more productive, more inclusive, and more available to those who not only currently participate in programs, but to those who either have not by choice or have not been able to participate in programs.
