This contest was originally developed by the West Virginia Grasslands Steering Committee. The purpose of this contest is to improve knowledge of grassland management as grasslands are imperative to the agricultural and ecological systems in West Virginia.
Contest winners have the opportunity to compete in the Mid-Atlantic Grassland Evaluation Contest and are also eligible for scholarships.
A team may consist of a maximum of 4 or a minimum of 3 high school FFA or 4-H members.
